The BAMBOO is a cultural artifact using LEGO® bricks. A collectible that celebrates one of the most iconic symbols in hip-hop and womanhood, the bamboo earring.

Designed in collaboration with Dr. Yaba Blay, our inaugural Artist-In-Residence, and Professional Black Girl, this piece reclaims nostalgia and transforms it into a modern-day artifact of culture.

WHY IT MATTERS

The BAMBOO preserves a shared language of style, self-definition, and belonging. It reminds us that everyday culture is sacred and that what we build with our hands carries the same weight as what we’ve worn with pride. This collaboration turns a familiar symbol of identity into a monument of memory — a testament to the creativity, beauty, and brilliance of Black women everywhere.
